Job Search Preparation Tips
Whether you're a young person just starting out, or and adult being forced to go to work due to economic pressure, you will find one thing you have in common; lack of experience.
So if you are afraid of not being productive if you don't have rules inflicted upon you, don't be. That's not the issue. The issue here is another one: you wanting to do the work.
4) Where your long term career goals lie and how the current role fits into that. Far too many get themselves put in positions that they don't like and that don't contribute to where they plan to be long term. If you don't want to be in management, how did you get thrust into a supervisory role? If you plan to make a career change in three years, how is the role you're currently doing benefiting that goal? You are in charge of your career. It is your responsibility to say yes or no to work opportunities that get presented to you. Saying yes to anything and everything is a boundary violation that you commit to yourself. Be very clear what you want out of your work life and say no to the things that don't align with it.
Go back to your objectives; match your achievements to the needs of the prospective employers. You may have an interest in several variations of the same career so you need to have that reflected in your resume and cover letter.
Now order your list from the most desirable to the least. Start at the top and begin your research. You want how to find job know as much about the position as you can.
Then again, if in a given moment your mind just wants to be distracted, and just isn't in the mood to work, then you need to just respect it. Go away, do something else, rest, take the time off. Or, quite simply, do allow yourself to immerse in all those cat pictures.
How about you? Do you like your job or is it driving you crazy? Do you dread going to work every day? Maybe your job is causing you to stress out like a wild person, which certainly affects your attitude at home with the partner or family. Not enjoying your job even just a tad is a miserable thing.
A little Flexibility won't hurt. job Let go of your ego. It may not be the best job or the one you feel appropriate for you but you just have to accept it. You may have been the Senior Manager but now you are being offered with a junior position, it may seem unthinkable but accepting it and bending your pride is quite needed. Recession will teach you how to bend forward and to stop leaning backwards on the pedestal.
Some job search websites also allow you to post a resume online for employers to browse. It's not clear how many employers actually look for resumes online, but it certainly doesn't hurt to post yours. It only takes a couple of minutes to do it.
This can give you an idea of the viability of the niche market as it is unlikely that these sites are spending good money on advertising for nothing, after all.
